The upLIFTed Award Celebration recognizes the achievements of courageous and inspiring individuals who demonstrate an uncommon commitment to social justice and an extraordinary ability to affect change and unite people, organizations, sectors, and policy makers.
This spring, LIFT-Boston is hosting our first-ever fundraising event “The upLIFTed Awards” on Thursday, March 28th from 6 pm – 8 pm at The State Room (60 State Street, Boston). We could not be more thrilled to celebrate and recognize First Lady of Massachusetts, Diane B. Patrick with the upLIFTed Legacy Award. We are also delighted to pay tribute to LIFT-Boston’s founding board member Carolyn Casey for her decades of service to improving our community with the upLIFT Boston Award. At a time when more and more families are striving to make ends meet, LIFT believes we must celebrate those individuals who drive social change in our country.
We invite you to join us in honoring Mrs. Patrick and Carolyn by participating in any of the following ways: host committee member, sponsorship, attend the event, and help bring together friends and admirers of Diane and Carolyn.
LIFT-Boston is grounded in the simple belief in service. Hundreds of volunteers, mostly college students, work in partnership with community members to help them achieve economic stability and well-being. Because of LIFT’s comprehensive service model, thousands of families have secured better-paying jobs, safer homes, valuable education and training, and the means to afford healthcare, transportation, and food. LIFT-Boston will work this year with 2,500 people striving for a better financial future for themselves and their families. Nationally, LIFT volunteers will work with more than 11,000 families in neighbourhoods across the country.
