LIFT-Boston teamed up with Bank of America and Northeastern University for an Employment Prep Day held on Wednesday, April 20th. Seven LIFT clients from Cambridge, Somerville and Roxbury participated in a day of interview practice, resume critiques and tips on how to manage a successful job search.
Bank of America employees volunteered their time to coach LIFT clients through mock interviews, provide useful feedback on how to improve their interviewing skills, and offer resume critiques and advice.
Northeastern University’s Career Services Associate Director, Diane Ciarletta and Career Advisor, Aileen Axtmayer, facilitated a workshop for all clients covering topics such as “Planning Your Job Search,” “Online Job Search,” “Setting Expectations,” “Networking” and “Preparing for the Interview.”
Local restaurant Stop and Taste provided lunch with an in-kind donation of pizza.
