At LIFT-DC, Love isn’t just a word—it’s a guiding principle that fuels everything we do. Love connects us, inspires us, and drives us to create a brighter future for the parents and families we serve. Recently, that spirit of Love was exemplified by one of our strongest supporters, Stephanie Eidelman, Founder and CEO of Women in Consumer Finance (WCF), and LIFT-DC Board Member.
For the second year in a row, Stephanie used her annual WCF conference as a platform to champion LIFT’s mission. This year, under the theme “Empower & Renew: A Path to Mindful Wellness for DC Parents,” our Program Director, Patrease Douglas, was invited to speak at the conference to share her expertise on the power of coaching.
The attendees were moved—not just by Patrease’s passion, but by the stories of the parents we serve, who navigate the challenges of economic mobility with courage and determination. Inspired, many chose to contribute to our wellness initiative, recognizing that Love is at the heart of creating sustainable change.
Thanks to Stephanie’s support and the generosity of WCF attendees, we are able to continue providing vital wellness tools to LIFT-DC families. Donations from the conference will fund resources such as mindfulness subscriptions, yoga mats, journals, fitness and wellness programs and more! These tools are much more than items—they are expressions of Love that enable parents to prioritize their well-being as they work toward a brighter future for their families.
This collaboration is a beautiful reminder of what Love looks like in action: creating space for our mission to grow, fostering connections that inspire hope, and offering meaningful support to parents working tirelessly for their families. Stephanie’s continued partnership with LIFT not only raises crucial funds but also reinforces the powerful impact of leading with Love.
As we reflect on this incredible partnership, we’re reminded that Love is the foundation of our community. Together, we can continue to build a world where every parent has the tools they need to thrive.
