Mayor Thomas Menino yesterday helped present 18 new bicycles from the Boston Bikes Roll It Forward program to clients of LIFT, a nonprofit organizationthat works to combat poverty and expand opportunity for all in cities across the country. The Roll It Forward program collects and distributes used bicycles to low-income residents of Boston who can use them as a cheaper alternative tomotor vehicle and public transportation.
