LIFT-Chicago is thrilled to announce that Alison Heyman has joined our Regional Advisory Board. Alison is a Development Programs Specialist at Google, Inc. In this position, she works to design and implement career development programs for Google’s Global Sales group. Prior to joining Google, Alison attended Stanford University studying English and Political Science. While there, Alison served as Publications Director of the student association, co-chair of the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and Communications Director of the non-profit organization, FACE AIDS. She still volunteers for Stanford, co-chairing her class’s 5-year reunion. Alison became involved with LIFT-Chicago in 2010 when she and her husband, David, relocated to Chicago from New York City; the two recently co-chaired The LIFT Local event in April, 2012.
“Alison embodies what we look for in board members: passionate about LIFT’s work, selfless in her efforts and willing to work hard to advance LIFT’s mission,” said Ben Reuler, Executive Director of LIFT-Chicago. “I have very high standards for the type of down-to-earth, humble and hard-working personalities that we need to champion LIFT’s work and help drive our fundraising efforts; Alison meets this criteria and then some. The Regional Board has been catalytic in helping unlock connections, funding, validation and strategic guidance for our organization and I am confident Alison will be another invaluable asset to our efforts.”
