On Wednesday, May 6 we brought our LIFT family together to celebrate our work in breaking the cycle of poverty in New York City. The event was filled with the spirit that makes LIFT unique: dedication, a sense of possibility, and fun!
This year’s event centered on a longtime LIFT value: family. As LIFT begins an exciting new journey of lifting people out of poverty by focusing on a multigenerational approach (helping parents and children), LIFT-New York’s upLIFTing Awards showcased the power of strong and healthy families.
Our two honorees continued the theme of lifting families. We were thrilled to honor two incredible people and their families. Brian Steinwurtzel received the upLIFTing Leadership Award for his generosity in lifting the New Yorkers around him and LIFT Member, Jennifer Muniz, received the upLIFTing Commitment Award for her inspiring tenacity in making a better life for her family.
