Since we first opened our doors in 1999, a lot has changed at LIFT.
We’ve empowered more than 100,000 low-income individuals and families across the U.S. to break the cycle of poverty. We’ve had thousands of volunteers – students, activists, and community members from all over the country – come to our offices to help families achieve their dreams. Together, we’ve watched our members achieve countless goals. We’ve laughed with them; we’ve cried with them. We’ve changed names, switched locations, refined our mission, and in January 2019 we will boldly step forward under new leadership.
Through it all, one thing remains a constant at LIFT: an unwavering commitment to building a more equitable future for all families.
As we approach our 20th anniversary, LIFT will continue to deliver hope, money and love to families in need. The next chapter at LIFT means investing in more families than ever before. It means growing our ability to give cash directly to our members – because we trust our members to know what is best for their families; building new partnerships and enhanced services; and reaching more parents and caregivers of young children who are locked in a daily struggle to provide for their families.
We do this work because a new chapter at LIFT means a fresh start for LIFT parents, and brighter futures for their children. Help us realize this vision by giving the gift of LIFT.
